Firstly, the idiot who proposed this premature idea should be shot. By a firing squad. Led by me. If I had to attempt to give this idiot the benefit of the doubt, I'd prolly say this was prolly his/her/it's idea to solve the traffic problem around the area - which backfired big time. If I was a cynic, which I am, I'd say, some state-government-relation benefited big time from screwing up Subang Jaya's traffic even more than it already is.
Secondly, I would like to invite you to look at the left side of the picture and you'll notice now a whole line of idiots who are part of a group who have been constantly screwing up traffic around this area - if I had a panoramic picture of this whole line of cars, you'll actually notice that these cars parked by the roadside are pretty expensive. Thus, the assumption that naturally would be made is that these respective cars owners would be able to pay the daily-maximum of parking rates (if they had to la kan) - which in the immediate case of Subang Parade and Carrefour is RM6 (I think) and RM0 respectively. There's also a new open air carpark behind Subang Parade that is RM2 per entry. So the immediate and most likely explanation for these acts of stupidity is either they are lazy asses and/or cheap and quite simply lack social consciousness.
Perhaps a way to solve this problem is to really roll out those summons for all these illegally parked cars - in front of Empire, Subang Parade and Carrefour. And really impose them. Everyday, every night, and really jack up the summons amount because somehow RM80 to pay to MPSJ is cheaper than RM6 to Subang Parade. (-_-)" First let's start with RM80, then increase it by two-fold every time... or something.
Secondly, build proper parking spots around the area, multi-level if you have to. Just make it affordable for the general public. Then, even the above-mentioned idiots would have to park at the designated spots.
Then, link up Carrefour, Subang Parade and Empire, either by underground walkways or covered walkways. Though underground walkways would be more comfortable for the user - preventing beggars and the likes can be done by cooperation between all three managements. Actually, it'll be cool if we had this walk way and had buskers corner. (^-^)v with licences of course!
And while we're at it, link up to the KTM station. BUT ensure that we have maneuverable space for the LRT/MRT/public transport/infrastructure additions.
Parts 2, 3 and 4 are a longer shots, I agree - but suggestion #1 is easy to do kan? Kan? KAN?!
(-_-)" I need to send an email to MPSJ.
Oh. And to do something about the potholes all over the freaking place.
